| Status and Occurrence | A common resident in Trinidad and Tobago, being widespread in every habitat except thick forest in Tobago; in Trinidad apparently a recent arrival, mainly found in gardens and scrub near human habitation. Ranges throughout the Lesser Antilles and from Mexico south through Central America to Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas and northern Brazil. A distinctive subspecies lives on Trinidad & Tobago. |
