| Status and Occurrence | A fairly common resident on both Trinidad and Tobago, but the species almost certainly migrates in some numbers; mainly confined to mangroves and neighboring swampy savannahs. Throughout South America from Colombia south to Argentina and Chile and from Venezuela to the Guianas to northern Brazil; also on offshore islands from the Grenadines southward. |
