Mt. Saint Benedict Monastery, Trinidad, West Indies
Date           March 23, 1994
Status and Occurrence A rather uncommon resident of forested areas in Trinidad, both Northern and Central ranges, also Bush-Bush Forest.  Ususally seen on high, open perches or flying at or just below treetop level, occasionally soaring.  Most records are from January to June, so possibly migrates to Venezuela.  Ranges from Mexico south to Bolivia and Brazil.
